Dreaming of You

as i await for the night to fall

to get comfortable in my sleep

to fall with the covers on top of my head

your soft whispers of “I love you” I heard you said

to keep me warm in your heart 

til death do us part

i dream of you smiling with the moon

and dancing with the stars

your face i see when i first fall asleep

knowing your presence isn’t very far

to laugh at your humorous self

and making me feel like the most prettiest girl in the world

spoiling me with kisses, rubies, diamonds and pearls

what more can a girl ask for?

accept being blessed with a good man to treat her right

never allowing her to walk out of his life and out of his sight

i turned  between the sheets as i dream of you once more

catering to me

feeding me all the exotic fruit there is

talking about marrying me and telling me about our kids

i giggle when you tickle my side and take me into your arms

i feel safe with you

safe within your strong arms

i know that you will never put me at harm

i smile at the thought of you

as i’m always there for you and you are always there for me

to take me on a picnic to the park and feed me strawberries and apple slices all day

to feed you myself as we kiss the night away

to rub my nose against yours if i may

i laugh in my sleep as you whisper in my arm

to make me happy again

i wrestle you within the blankets

and you always let me win

how can this love story ever end ?

a love that’s real to already begin

dreaming of you is what i visualize of how you will be there for me

to set my soul, heart and pain free

show me real love

so i can finally see!
